December 28th, 2010 Manner of Death: Poisoned from the bite of a Peruvian Vipertooth Age In Which Your Character Enters This Rift In Time: 36 At What Point In Life Do They Appear at the Nexus: After the publication of his latest article on the mating habits of the Norwegian Ridegback. Brief Life History: The second oldest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley, Charlie was born December 12th, 1972. He was an outgoing, intelligent, independent and daring child, willing to try almost anything. Despite the economic difficulties of his family, Charlie never felt as if he couldn’t accomplish anything he set his mind on. Before attending Hogwarts, Charlie was a huge fan of Quidditch, and spent a great deal of his time keeping up with all the latest Qudditch cup news, scores and statistics. Also, paired with his love of Quidditch was a blossoming interest in magical creatures. With his ambitious nature there are also was a sense of pride. While he was from a poor family, he was pureblooded and found that this status opened many doors for him that would other wise be closed. While he wasn’t a supremacist, per say, he did , feel that this status set him apart from Muggleborns and half bloods, even if he didn’t express it. And he certainly kept his views private, it wouldn’t have gone over well with his mother or his father, let alone his siblings. He did find Muggle culture amusing enough, but always felt it paled in comparison to the legacy of Wizarding kind. Charlie began his schooling at Hogwarts in 1984, and like the rest of his siblings was sorted into Gryffindor house. In 1985 Charlie’s ambitious nature paid off, he joined the Gryffindor Qudditch team as its seeker, leading the team to various victories in the comings years. Eventually he made Captain, but passed on the position to his younger team mate Oliver Wood, in the 1990-1991 season, when his interest in magical creatures began to overshadow his love of the sport. During his last year at Hogwarts, he still maintained his role of seeker, despite giving up his captaincy. After his graduation from Hogwarts Charlie landed his dream job; studying and caring for dragons in Romania. Although he would be far from home, due to his independent nature, he managed well, but made sure to keep in close contact with his family while living abroad. During his time in Romania Charlie not only agreed to take and care for Hagrid’s pet dragon Norbert, but also helped to supply the four species of dragons for the first task of the Triwizard tournament at Hogwarts. During the second rising of Lord Voldemort Charlie attempted to gather support for the Order of the Phoenix abroad. He returned home in time to stand as the best man at his older brother Bill’s wedding to Fleur Delacour. He arrived as part of the final reinforcements at the battle at Hogwarts, and survived without any serious injury. After the second rising Charlie returned to Romania to continue his work for several more years. During this time he published several notable books on Dragonlore and his studies and field research. On a work related outing to the eastern mountain regions of Peru, he came upon several Peruvian Vipertooth’s. Unfortunately one of the dragons had a nasty temperament, and caught Charlie off guard. He was severely injured, bitten repeatedly, and would have died from the severity of the wounds if the poison of the Vipertooth’s fangs had not seen to a quicker death. Appearance: Approximately 5’10” tall. Charlie’s build is stockier then that of his brothers, but is still relatively lean. Like all the Weasley children his skin is fair with freckles, though due most of his time being spent outdoors, it is a little bit weather beaten compared to that of his brothers and sister. Charlie’s hair, like all the Weasley’s is red; however his hair is not quite as vibrant as his younger siblings. His hair is relatively short, but usually tussled and messy. Personality: Very outgoing, and personable, despite spending most of his time engrossed in his work. Likes: The care, collecting of, and research of magical creatures, and related goods. He also loves Qudditch, rock music, a relaxing smoke, and the occasional trip to the pub. Hobbies: Plays Qudditch, enjoys mountain climbing and hiking when he can make time for it. He also plays acoustic guitar, as he finds that some creatures are receptive to music. Dislikes: Laziness, complacency, as well as callus, rude people. Strengths: Has an incredible wealth of knowledge relating to Dragons and Magical Creatures in general. He is physically strong and agile. Weaknesses: Terrible at apparating, it took Charlie two times to actually pass his test. He is also not a very skilled wizard, he is good at what he knows and what he finds practical, but doesn't have a lot of magical prowess. Sexuality: Unknown. Charlie is married to his work; he has never really had a committed relationship with anyone, or had much time to give relationships any consideration.
